If you are unable to access one of our registrars at all, despite having a working internet connection, your IP address may have been blocked due to a suspected attack and added to our so-called Fail2Ban block list. A strong indication of this is if you can no longer ping the registrar, but our website remains accessible.

This can happen if a SIP client on your internal network is making frequent failed registration attempts on the platform. In the vast majority of cases, this is caused by incorrect or out-of-date login details. As devices with incorrect login details sometimes send new registration attempts very frequently, this can jeopardise the quality of service for all users.

We therefore block IP addresses that send us a high volume of failed registration attempts.

How to unblock your blocked IP address

An automatic notification when an IP address is blocked whilst logging into the customer portal is not currently available.

If you would like to be notified when your static IP address is blocked, please contact our support team at support@easybell.ch .

We’ll need this for further analysis if the block wasn’t the cause

If you are unable to access the customer portal from the blocked IP address, or if your IP address is not shown as blocked, please contact our support team. The following information is required for this:

  • The IP address of the device on which registration is failing
  • Your public IP address
  • The easybell phone number that cannot be registered
  • Do you receive a response when you ping sip.easybell.com?
